Becky Marquez, LCPC
Becky completed her Master's degree in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2001. She has worked in various roles, including school, home, and community-based behavioral management (PSR, now CBRS), case management, and crisis response. In June 2016, she transitioned to her role as a counselor with A New Beginning.
The following year, Becky trained at the Karyn Purvis Institute for Child Development to become a TBRI (Trust-Based Relational Intervention) practitioner. Since then, she has developed expertise in areas specific to developmental trauma, PTSD, grief and loss, and the challenges associated with toxic or narcissistic relationships. Becky has also gained a skill set related to foster care and adoption, with a focus on parenting in challenging situations.
Becky is a mother of three—ages 19, 16, and 9. Her oldest was adopted as an infant, and the younger two were adopted from the Idaho foster care system. Licensed as a foster parent in Idaho since 2007, she has fostered 18 children over the years. This extensive experience provides invaluable insight as she works with families in crisis or those facing challenges.
