YANA
You Are Not Alone - Foster Support Group
Every 2nd & 4th Monday, @4:30pm
Being in Foster Care is hard.
We've created a peer group to help foster youth navigate the many emotions of being in foster care. Led by a counselor, social worker and peer support specialist, these groups are intended to be fun, safe and therapeutic. YANA (You Are Not Alone) is available to foster youth ages 12-17.

Our theme this year is Coping Skills and we are focusing on self-care, communication, social connections, social relationships, time management, and adoption related topics. Every group there is an emotional check-in, lesson of the day, game or activity, debriefing the lesson, and mindfulness activity. Parents are given information about what is discussed and some conversation starters so that communication can continue at home.
